Meet Your Dentist in Columbia, MD: Dr. Scott Bowersox
After spending three years in private practice serving communities in Hanover and Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Dr. Scott Bowersox joins our practice. A lifelong resident of Maryland, he graduated from Winters Mill High School in Westminster and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Doctor Bowersox obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While in dental school, doctor Bowersox graduated in the top half of his class and spent time in oral surgery and periodontics clinics, where he was mentored by attending faculty and residents in atraumatic tooth extraction and dental implants. Doctor Bowersox’s interests in the dental field include digital dentistry, public health and dental education, dental implants, and cosmetics.
Doctor Bowersox commits himself to lifelong learning. He has completed nearly 100 hours of continuing dental implant placement and restoration education. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Association.
A top priority for Doctor Bowersox is patient comfort and care. He feels honored to be trusted with their oral health. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlin, and their dachshund, Otto. You can find him at the beach during the summer, spending time by the water or anywhere outdoors. He is excited to join the team at Columbia Family Dental and serve the Howard County community.
